Joaquim is responsible for the preparation and successful management of CRG coordinated projects. He obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Barcelona, followed by 6-year post-doctoral experience at the NKI (Amsterdam, The Netherlands). He moved back to Barcelona as Research Associate at the IRB Barcelona, where he was the recipient of a Marie Curie fellowship and earned experience as scientific manager. Joaquim complemented his education with short courses on the topics of intellectual property, quality and innovation management and leadership, and he obtained a Master Degree of Research Management at the Barcelona School of Management (IDEC-UPF).

 Michael Tadros has a BSc degree, with specialisations in two areas, Molecular and Cell Biology, and a degree in Economics and Business Studies from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada (2002). He also has a PhD in Microbial Biotechnology from Spain´s National Biotechnology Centre (CNB-CSIC), Madrid (2005). During his career he has gained extensive experience in business development areas, having been a partner at the Hudson Bay Company (1999) and Microcell Solutions (2001), in technology transfer, having worked as project manager at the National Cancer Research Centre (2005); and in venture capital, having held various project manager and leader roles in CrossRoad Biotech (2007). In addition to these roles, Michael has worked as acting scientific adviser for S3M Inc (2000), a Canadian venture capital company specialising in biotechnology. Michael Tadros joined the Botín Foundation´s Science and Technology Transfer Unit in 2008.

Francisco Pérez Vizcaíno obtained his BSc in Pharmacy at UCM in 1989 and carried out his PhD in Pharmacy in 1992, also at UCM. After a postdoctoral fellowship at the School of Medicine, he started a position as a scientist at the Spanish National Research Council, Madrid. Since 2010 he joined as a Research Associate Dean in the Faculty of Medicine of the U.C.M.

He is author of over 140 original research articles in international journals, reviewer of over 50 journals and PI of 5 National Plan projects and 1 of 7th EU Framework Programme. Along to this, he has been involved in the JdC and RyC Commission assessment (2009), Project evaluator of: ANEP, FIS, NRC (Singapore), STAA (Slovakia), British Lung Foundation (UK), National Researche Agencie (France), Royal Society Of New Zealand, Fundaçao for Science and Technology in Portugal.
