The Spanish Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares (CNIC) is a vibrant research center that has greatly grown in the last years. Thus, an event such a PhDay was needed, where an increasing number of young researchers, pre- and post-docs, could gather annually with the purpose of exchanging scientific results and knowledge and networking. The PhDay would also set focus on how science can influence and contribute to the society taking great advantage of your ideas and results.
The CNIC PhDay is a scientific event organized by graduate students and postdoctoral researchers that will be held the 1st of December 2014 at the CNIC. Every undergraduate student, graduate student, lab technician, and postdoctoral researcher are invited to participate in this first edition of the PhDay by presenting a poster or just attending to the event. We strongly encourage students and researchers from other centers to join and participate in this event. Places are limited!
The day will be organized in two main activities:
– Poster sessions. Posters will be organized by research fields and divided into three poster sessions.
– Talks. Invited speakers which have played an important role in the development of science and its applications (outstanding carrier, translational application, entrepreneurship) will be invited. In addition, three of the submitted abstracts will be selected due to their high scientific standard and the main authors will be given the great opportunity to show their work during a short talk in the auditorium.
